Hi boys and girls! *waves*
It's been a while since the last recap. Oops. You're all familiar with how terrible I am at this whole "frequent update" business. At any rate, shall we go over what's been happening lately? Let's.
I've been pretty much spending every day (that I'm not in the office) downtown from morning until night, chillin' like a villain and making the most of the time I have left before I enter the world of Official Yuppieness in June. The hours are spent being lazy on the patio, cruising the shops, eating copious amounts of yummy food in ridiculously short intervals, watching movies I've been meaning to watch for months, going for overpriced coffee, napping, and laughing until I think I'm going to tinkle my pants. Been spending lotsss of time with Tomek and with my fave whackjob Crystali (it's sure good to have her back!). I miss my stinky poop little sis, but I'm sure we'll go for Red Lobster (!!!) soon enough... in short, I heart my girls and I heart boys who buy you chocolate croissants from Kensington. Yum-mmmmy.
Hmmms...what else. Ah yes, the fashion show at Kabin went very well (I had the greatest "holla section" ever - I've got the awesomest friends in all the land )...I'll post pics soon!
Finally watched Hotel Rwanda the other day. It was a tremendously powerful and moving film - the type of movie that leaves an aching weight in your stomach after having watched it. It wasn't quite as graphic as I thought it would be, but nevertheless, there were several occasions where I had to turn away and dig my nails into my 'pillow' (poor Tom)...particularly the scene where actual footage of the massacres is shown.
"I think if people see this footage, they'll say 'Oh my God, that's horrible.' And then they'll go on eating their dinners."
Highly recommended movie.
On a brighter note, I bought the Spaceballs DVD! Yes, I'm an uber-geek. Yes, it's a stupid movie, but it's one of the greatest stupid movies ever made. I'm a happy camper.
"Before you die, there is something you should know about us, Lone Starr."
"What?"
"I am your father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate."
"What's that make us?"
"Absolutely nothing! Which is what you are about to become."
Heehee.
Sooo...how (are all of) you doin'? |
